IS-BAO RPAS Training
As part of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) auditor accreditation process, qualified IS-BAO auditors wanting to expand their qualifications within the rapidly growing RPAS segment are required to successfully complete the new USI online course that is now available.
As the recognized leader in Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) flight safety, USI offers auditors RPAS training for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Visual Line of Sight Operations. Additional courses for BVLOS regulations are in development.
AUDITORS
The IS-BAO Programme requires an independent third-party audit to achieve registration, renew (every two or three years), or progress to the next stage. Operators must select a qualified IS-BAO auditor, schedule the audit, and cover any agreed fees or expenses, considering the auditor’s experience, costs, location, and availability.
Auditor Accreditation
IBAC-accredited auditors undergo a rigorous application process and must have extensive experience in Operations, SMS, and Auditing. Once accredited, they must complete continuing education and follow policies and procedures to renew accreditation every 24 months.

How To Become An Accredited Auditor
IBAC has established qualification and experience standards that must be demonstrated by auditor applicants for initial accreditation.
- IS-BAO Accredited Auditors must adhere to IBAC policies for Auditor Accreditation
- All applicants are required to attend the IS-BAO Fundamentals and Auditors workshop.
- Auditors must purchase the IS-BAO and Audit Procedures Manual and an accreditation fee payment is required before accreditation is granted.
